Happy Monday loves!

Had a great weekend with the hubby and kiddo partaking in the local holiday festivities. And, have been so completely spoiled with brands sending me clothes that I've officially BANNED any gift giving from my friends and family to me...well, unless it's in the form of dollars for me to save for the trip to London...if ONLY United Airways took clothes in exchange for a plane ticket. I just don't get it?!! LOL But seriously, I can't even believe how blessed I am. I consider it an honor when a company believes in you enough to trust you to wear and shoot pictures in their clothing, and especially when it's clothing I would buy anyways! Gah. Gotta pinch myself sometimes. And believe me... I KNOW it's ONLY because of my readers, YOU, that I'm living my dream. Thank you so much for supporting me, it means the world to me! Sorry to send you loves notes every post...something about the lights and garland and glitter that makes me all mushyyyy.

I shot this outfit the other day with my bestie Mandy. I was just sent this sweater from SimplyBe and truthfully, when I first saw it I didn't think it was that special. BUT THEN I PUT IT ON! It came to life and now I think I will wear it daily. It's crazy how an item comes to life after you put it on your body...which is why you must ALWAYS try stuff on! This gem would have never entered my closet if I didn't try it on. So, yes, obsessed. Adding my white capris (just add boots and looked like pants!) and my new wide calf boot beauties from Torrid and you have a comfortable, chic and freaking fab outfit. I think the only thing this outfit is missing is a string of lights! :)

Happy 2012!

I've NEVER been the resolution girl, because I'm constantly trying to "take inventory" of myself and what I need to work on. But, I do find myself thinking right now that I need to challenge myself to dress up more. See, I work at my home office and it's too easy to go straight to work and pass up getting dressed all together. Thank goodness I have you, my blog and appointments to hold my fashionably accountable!

So, I'm thinking a challenge is in order...a dress up challenge. Starting Monday 1/9, I want to challenge both of us to dress up (hair/makeup/clothing) EVERY day from Monday-Friday! And, post EVERY day your picture to my facebook wall - and of course I'm going to say ONLY full body photos :) hehehehhe.

K? I'm doing it to! So giving you a week warning - it's on baby! So...to the outfit....

I blogged this outfit here, but wanted to show you how I flipped it and went gold/browns instead. I think I've worn this outfit 3 times since I took these pictures! LOL

So loving the browns/golds/oranges, can't get enough.

First, how is it Thursday, like almost the New Year??
Honestly, time is going by WAY too quick!!

Thank goodness I have a little home studio for shooting outfits, makes posts so much faster! I went to my client, Sheraton Portland Hotel, to meet with my liquor sponsor for the NYE party, and I needed to look a bit effortlessly chic. Didn't want to look like I was trying too hard - LOL. And, this top was IT.

I've been on the search for a simple, but detailed white sheer top forever now! Something that felt and looked luxe, but without the price. I finally found two tops that I loved, this is one - from Simply Be, it was only $27 (and of course out of stock now)!!!!!! I swear it's utter perfection. It has this detailing in the fabric that is so gorgeous and the sleeve detail is so perfect. I love how I can wear with and without a belt, and go casual or dressy with it.

Of course I wore my favorite jeggings of ALL time, the Svoboda 360 Stretch Five Pocket Skinny Jean in Blue Stone (still need to get the review up! sorry).

I swear, this is one of my favorite outfits ever!! And, remember my favorite boots, the Cognac LULU from Torrid? Well, they sent me the black pair TOO!! *dying* BEST BOOT EVER for a 20" calf.
K, well I'm off to finish planning and printing for the NYE event....of which I get to work. :( No fun plans this year, that's kind of the downside to marketing, you usually have to WORK the event, instead of enjoy it. What are you planning?? I'd love to live vicariously through you!

To say it's hard to find wide calf tall boots is an understatement! And, I KNOW I'm not the only one since my facebook page blew up when I griped about retailers wrongly classifying wide calf boots as 17"! I'm sorry, but in the land of large calves, this will not cut it. Need at least 19" and most I feel are needed 19.78" to 21". So, I have found some pairs through trial and error and wanted to share!

Favorite #1 (below): I shared earlier this year one of my favorite and budget friendly cute wide calf boot finds, the Kayleigh Wide Calf Boot by Step Up Comfort. This boot did say in size 11WW the calf should be 20", but like most one size fits all size charts for boots (#fail) they were off by a half inch - a VERY crucial 1/2 by the way. So, if you consider this boot, know the calf is smaller than stated, but still a true wide calf. These boots are cute, comfortable and come in SIX colors! And, priced nice at around $48 (on sale now!). I LOVE the 1" wedge and can walk all day in these.



Favorite #2 (below): Torrid Lulu Cognac Knee-High Boot! I have been hunting the GLOBE for an affordable, camel colored, 2.75"-2:25" heel, tall 20" calf boots - and I found them!! $20 off as well! I'm a size 11, so I had to call a few torrid's to find the store with an 11 in stock, online has limited sizes right now - but these are THE BEST. I can't tell you how comfortable, how perfect these boots are. I'm so happy I was able to find my size. Unlike Jessica London/Avenue, the calf size chart is SPOT on and true. Scored these gorgeous babies for only $48. #yessssssssss









Favorite #3 (below): Wide Calf 3 Buckle Riding Boot from Lane Bryant I have these babies on the way! I tried on the black pair and these fit amazing! I ordered the grey color online. It's a good day in my world when the reviews for the boot are the calves are too big!! ahahahah!! Love it...ding! We have a winner. I love how these look masculine but still feel fem. LOVE.
